Our story

Eleven years of quiet mail work from a small town in Virginia.

AdminMail Server is not a startup. It's a working firm — founded in 2014, still owned by one man, still answering its own phone.

Samuel Mingo — engineer, letter-writer, southerner.

Samuel spent twelve years running mail systems for a regional insurance carrier before hanging his own sign in 2014. His first client was a two-partner law office in South Boston, Virginia, whose case correspondence kept vanishing into spam folders. He fixed it in an afternoon. They referred three friends. Eleven years later, AdminMail Server runs mail infrastructure for more than four hundred domains — and he still personally onboards every new client.

"I picked email because it's the one part of a business's technology that everyone depends on and no one wants to think about. My job is to make sure you never have to."

What we believe

A small set of stubborn convictions.

Own the metal.

We run dedicated hardware in a Tier-III Virginia data center. No shared tenancy, no hyperscaler lock-in, no surprise policy changes on a Tuesday morning.

Answer the phone.

Every AdminMail client has the direct mobile number of an engineer who knows their setup by name. That's not a marketing promise — it's how we've worked for eleven years.

Write it down.

Retention, incident response, subprocessors, encryption at rest — all published in plain English. If we can't explain it, we shouldn't be doing it.

Charge fairly.

Flat monthly rates. No per-message overages. No renewal price shocks. If your usage grows, we tell you before the invoice does.

Stay small.

We cap ourselves at what one senior engineer can personally know. When we approach that ceiling, we stop taking new clients until we hire — not the other way around.

Keep the lights on.

Monitoring runs 24/7 out of Turbeville and Dallas. A human is paged, not a chatbot. If mail stops moving, we know before you do.

Where we are

Rooted in Turbeville, Virginia.

Our office sits on Queens Lane in Turbeville — a small unincorporated community in Halifax County, about forty minutes north of the North Carolina line. We chose it deliberately. Low overhead means honest pricing, and small-town Virginia means we still shake hands on the work we do.
